Mariia is her mom's gift

When Mariika was still in her mom’s womb, the doctors claimed that “she would not survive”. Now the girl is seven years old. She is smart and curious. She wants to go everywhere and to see everything. But she cannot do it because Mariia cannot walk. Such a condition was caused by inborn pathology. The girl needs surgery on the spine that will help to restore at least partially the sensitivity of the lower body. But her single mother whose husband left her because of the daughter’s disease cannot afford to buy necessary materials and medicines for this treatment. Let’s give the girl a chance for a decent life!

Mariia was a gift to her mom on March 8th. None of the doctors believe that she would survive. She had a surgery at the Institute of Neurosurgery. Everything went well. The child began to develop very quickly because her mom was actively engaged in her rehabilitation. There were visits to the speech therapist, to the massage therapist, to the psychologist. When Mariia was six years she could read like third graders. But the problem with the spine does not allow the girl to move freely. She needs a surgery for which her mother has to buy all the medicines and materials because they are not available at the hospital.
