Maria has overcome a very complicated disease: medulloblastoma, brain cancer. The little girl underwent surgery to remove the tumor, had a reservoir installed, and endured high-dose chemotherapy. Regrettably, due to the tumor’s substantial size, it affected crucial centers governing motor skills. Maria started rehabilitation without delay.

The first cycles brought positive results – complete restoration of arm mobility. The next stage involves working on enhancing leg functions. The little patient owes such success to the specialists of the Modrychi Center. However, the cost for this proficient and comprehensive rehabilitation is significant. Each cycle requires a payment of 113,400 UAH, and multiple cycles might be necessary annually. Stopping is not an option, as the positive results must be consolidated.

The mother is raising her daughter alone, always by her side, because the child in a wheelchair needs constant care. She gathers funds among friends, on social media, and seeks government assistance. The state covers only a part of the treatment costs, placing the remaining burden on the family. Maria dreams of walking, but her family does not have enough money for the upcoming rehabilitation cycles. Together we can make a difference in her life!
