At the age of one month, the girl began to have epileptic seizures, at three months she became farsighted, and at seven months, doctors diagnosed her with cerebral palsy.

Now Maria is 5 years old. She still does not sit, walk, talk, or eat on her own. But rehabilitation brings hope. After each course of treatment, Mariyka gains more strength: she sleeps better, holds her body in a sitting position longer, tries to control her hands, her nystagmus disappears and new sounds appear. She begins to look at the world around her with interest.
