Mark is fighting, and we can help!

Nine-year-old Mark is learning every day to do what used to be normal for him. After a serious accident, his life changed dramatically, and now he has to learn everything again – movements, everyday activities, communication. However, Mark is a child who amazes with his strength of character. He does not complain, does not give up, and is very eager to regain his freedom of movement and ability to speak.

During previous courses at the Agape Ukraine centre, the boy has made significant progress. His body has become more obedient, exercises are easier for him, he keeps up with the pace of classes longer, and he tries new movements with more confidence. Mark is better at navigating his daily activities, and he can do some of them almost without reminders. For a child who started from scratch, this is a great victory.

Despite his noticeable progress, Mark still needs the help of specialists. His right arm does not work properly, sometimes his muscles tense up, and he still needs support when walking. The boy is not yet able to express himself in words, so he uses gestures, which also need to be corrected and developed. The next stage of rehabilitation aims to restore arm movement, improve speech skills, strengthen coordination, and help the brain interact better with the body.

Mark has returned to school. He listens attentively to his teachers, enjoys every exercise and sincerely tries to keep up with his peers. His friends are waiting for the moment when he will be able to respond, talk and play with them without difficulty. For the boy, this is a huge incentive to move forward.

In order to maintain the results already achieved and continue the important work, Mark requires a new rehabilitation course, which costs 76,000 UAH. The family cannot afford this amount themselves.
