Marta Dreams of a Life Without

The purpose of the project was to raise funds for the treatment of Gulka Marta, who is a patient of the neurosurgery department of the Lviv Children's Medical Center. The girl has a congenital developmental disorder, operated on for spinal hernia and hydrocephalus, lower paraparesis, and pelvic organ dysfunction. She is under the supervision of doctors almost all the time. Now Marta needed urgent surgery, because her life and well-being depend on a programmable shunt system that maintains pressure. The cost of consumables for the operation is 96,000 hryvnias.

The girl's family lives in a small village. Mom takes care of Marta, and dad works as an electrician. All savings have already been spent on treatment.

Thanks to the funds raised, Marta was operated on on time and her condition has been alleviated.
