Matviy is nine years old. He was born small, only 2,360 grams, but healthy. He grew up like all children – active and playful, he loved to dance. However, at the age of 5, the boy's life changed completely. The boy began to get tired quickly, complained of headaches and pain in his legs. The child was thirsty, and he began to lose weight rapidly. And then one day Matviy lost consciousness. Then the ambulance, intensive care unit, tests, drips and the hard news about the boy's diagnosis – doctors found that Matviy had type 1 diabetes, severe form.
Everything that followed was a blur for his mother: "To say it was a shock is an understatement. Different thoughts, tears, questions". The family has been living with this for 4 years. Constant sugar measurements 6-8 times a day, meals on a schedule, and insulin injections at every meal. Matviy is still very lively, cheerful and kind. But he is less mobile. Walking and active movements tire the child, and his legs hurt. The boy has already stopped dancing. And when Matviy has high blood sugar, he becomes nervous.
But instead, the child has developed other, calmer hobbies. He likes building Lego, modeling, and weaving with rubber bands. He enjoys going to school, and his favorite subject is math. He loves animals and dreams of becoming a veterinarian. Matviy is supported by everyone: family, friends, and acquaintances. His parents work and try to provide their son with everything he needs. When they learned about the sensors, they bought them for Matviy and were very happy that they could make their son's life easier. But the parents cannot afford to buy sensors all the time. The mother asks for help.
