"We are a family of IDPs from the city of Sievierodonetsk, Luhansk region, who left our hometown with a suitcase, a dog and a cat. We picked up our doll from Lviv, where our orphanage was evacuated. And we were the happiest parents until our daughter was diagnosed with cerebral palsy," Aryna's mother recalls.
The girl was born at 31 weeks with a weight of 1380 grams, the first day the baby spent under a ventilator. Almost immediately after birth, her birth mother abandoned her. With great difficulty, however, the new family managed to take Aryna out of the orphanage 2.5 months after the outbreak of full-scale war. "Having lost almost everything, we got our long-awaited daughter".
Now Aryna is 3 years old, but she still cannot walk, sit or crawl on her own, and she does not speak, but she is very active and cheerful. She needs systematic and high-quality rehabilitation to improve her motor development. The family spends all their resources, but without the support of those who care, they will not be able to provide her with the necessary rehabilitation. Cerebral palsy is not curable, but it can be corrected, and the girl has the opportunity to achieve good results, she just needs our support.
"We believe in our daughter and ask you to believe in her", adds Irina's mother. Let's help her with rehabilitation!
