MIBG for little Zhenechka

The aim of the project "MIBG for little Zhenechka" was to raise funds for Eugenia Yarova for MIBG-scanning in the Italian clinic "Papa Giovanni XXIII" in Bergamo. Eugene has neuroblastoma. After six blocks of chemotherapy and radiation, Zhenya planned surgery. Unfortunately, the location of the tumor is such that it is very difficult to operate on. But now doctors need to know exactly what the tumor is in - and MIBG scans are essential. Such a survey is conducted with special isotopes, which, unfortunately, are not available in Ukraine. The parents turned to the fund for help in paying the bill. The family is financially exhausted by the fees for basic treatment. Our foundation has searched for clinics that are ready to conduct examinations at an adequate cost. Such a clinic was the Italian children's hospital "Papa Giovanni XXIII" in Bergamo. Thanks to the placement of the project on the UBB platform on November 10, Zhenya underwent a scan. The result pleased the parents - the tumor disappeared. Rehabilitation will be carried out further, as the disease has damaged the nerve endings of the spinal cord and Zhenya is not walking.
