Vania has been on treatment for neuroblastoma for three years. With this diagnosis, the most accurate examination to detect affected cells is MIBG, which, unfortunately, is not performed in Ukraine. Carrying out this scan in Italy became an opportunity for the boy to receive appropriate therapy in time.

In September 2017, with the funds raised on this platform, the examination revealed that Vania’s tumor was operable. After surgery and radiation therapy, the results of the scan abroad helped the Ukrainian doctors to decide on stem cell autotransplant and radiation therapy.

Then, when Vania completed all the prescribed therapies, and the last examination was to confirm the disappearance of the tumor, the pandemic began, and the borders were closed… The boy undergoes regular checkups, but the existing examination methods in Ukraine do not give accurate confirmation and confidence to parents.

The clinic in Italy is finally ready to accept Vania. The family received all the necessary permits to cross the border. However, the required funds to pay for MIBG is 522 euros, which the boy’s parents do not have. The long period of treatment exhausted them completely, both morally and financially. Without our support, they will not succeed.

We can help Vania learn the good news and return to a normal childhood without disease!
