Engaging in football, playing with his siblings, riding a bike and dreaming of our victory – these used to be Ivan’s primary pastimes not long ago. However, at present, Ivan finds himself confined to a hospital bed, tethered to an IV drip. He suffers from pain and persistent bleeding.

Ivan has a rare type of cancer called malignant nasopharyngeal tumor. Sadly, the less common the diagnosis, the harder it is to find an effective treatment. The boy is getting chemotherapy now, and the tumor has gotten 30 percent smaller, but that’s not enough.

The doctors at the National Cancer Institute have effectively used MIBG therapy, which involves treating with radioactive iodine. However, in Ukraine, this treatment is only given to adults. This is exactly Ivan’s case, as his diagnosis demands an adult treatment approach.

As Ukraine isn’t a nuclear country, isotopes must be bought from other nations. Unfortunately, the National Cancer Institute doesn’t have them now, and Ivan can’t wait. Metastases are spreading and killing the young body. The cost for the treatment is 118,152.00 UAH, and this amount is needed as soon as possible.

Let’s save Ivan together!
