Sofia's first breath was short-lived... December 30, 2022, was supposed to be the happiest day in the Skuratovski's lives – their daughter Sofia was born. But instead of joy, there was pain, fear, and the white walls of the intensive care unit.
Sofia was born at 34 weeks. At first, she breathed on her own, and her parents believed that everything would be fine. But within a few hours, her tiny body stopped breathing. Doctors urgently intubated the baby, put her into a medically induced coma, and connected her to a ventilator. The fight for her life began.
Sofia suffered from pneumonia, anemia, three blood transfusions, tube feeding... And also bronchitis, seizures, and the flu. The first year of her life was spent not in games and fairy tales, but in hospitals. The girl has cerebral palsy, spastic double hemiplegia, and delayed speech development. But despite everything, she is fighting. Her mother does everything she can every day: massages, swimming, therapy. And Sofiika responds to this love. She is a smiling, bright, extraordinary girl who has great difficulty moving.
She has a chance if she continues rehabilitation. But the family's strength is at its limit – both morally and financially. They are not asking for much, but this help can give their daughter a chance to move, live, and be more free in her little body.
Support Sofiika, help her get a new course of rehabilitation! Together, we can give her more than just a chance. We can give her a childhood.
