Milana wants to hear her dad's voice

Seven-year-old Milana is the daughter of the serviceman. Every year the girl loses her hearing more and more. To stop the deterioration and develop speech, she needs hearing aids that are ideal for her.

In the first year of her life, Milana heard, because she learned to say “dad”, “mom”, and responded to the name. But then her hearing began to gradually decline. When the girl went to kindergarten at the age of three, on the very first day the director reported to Milana’s mother Alina that the girl did not react to the speech of others.

On the same day, Mila was examined by an otolaryngologist and prescribed drops. The next day, the child visited a doctor from a private clinic, where she was diagnosed with bilateral sensorineural hearing loss.

Then Milana was examined by an audiologist at the regional children's hospital in Dnipro and selected hearing aids, which she wore for a year. But speech did not appear, despite sessions with a speech therapist.

Later parents knew that Mila heard almost nothing in these devices. A year later, the family went to one of the private Dnipro centers “Everything for the Ear.” The residents of Pjatykhatky and Dnipro collected 50,000 UAH for new devices. Milana began to hear and therefore spoke.

Unfortunately, the latest routine examination showed a severe deterioration in hearing: the right ear can no longer hear in these devices, and the left ear can only hear loud speech at a distance less than a meter.

This year Mila is going to first grade, so it is extremely important that the child hears the teacher and children clearly.

Milana is a kind, purposeful girl. She loves to draw, make mosaics, and do hair for her mother and her 4-year-old sister Daria. The girls really miss their dad, who has been protecting them at the front since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
