Milena really wants to go!

Milena was born prematurely, weighing 940 g with damage to the central nervous system (hypoxic-ischemic lesion of the brain). The baby was on artificial ventilation for two weeks and began to eat independently at two months. The doctors could not guarantee that the baby would survive, but the girl clung to life.

When she was one year, she was diagnosed with cerebrospinal spastic tetraparesis. Little Milena has repeatedly been treated by neurologists and regularly undergoes rehabilitation at the Ukrainian Prosthetic Research Institute in Kharkiv. She was operated on in 2013, and again in 2016. After surgery and rehab, she began to walk with a walker.

Milena is a wonderful girl who loves life and has from the very beginning struggled for a full life. Little Milena is a very positive, cheerful and inquisitive child. Every morning, she is actively engaged at the center for social rehabilitation of children with disabilities in Zaporizhia.

The terrible condition of cerebral palsy (spastic diplegia) is not completely curable, but with continuous treatment and rehabilitation the child’s condition can be significantly alleviated, she can acquire the necessary skills, and learn how to walk. But for this, money is needed which the family does not have. Milena's mother is bringing up two children alone, and the father does not help the children financially. Cerebral palsy is not a verdict, but only if you make every effort to fight it. Help a sweet little girl, little Milena, to fight this disease. She will be able to defeat it, but only with your help.
