My fight for life continues

This baby has been fighting for life since the first days. Maksym was born with hypoxia and umbilical cord torsion, and the boy did not cry. Maksym was not breathing. Doctors began resuscitation and connected the boy to a ventilator. After swallowing amniotic fluid, the baby was diagnosed with congenital pneumonia.

Maksym spent the first 12 days of his life in the intensive care unit, 8 of them under a ventilator, and then sometimes breathed with a mask because his blood oxygen level dropped. For almost 1.5 months, the boy ate through a feeding tube, and until he was 5 months old, he was anemic. Then he had seizures, so he received anticonvulsant therapy, which fortunately helped. In total, Maksym spent almost 2 months in the hospital.

At home, his mother began to notice that the boy was developing differently from children his age. The parents made every effort to help their son: they attended massage courses and rehabilitation centers, consulted neurologists, and took medication... Now Maksym is 10 months old, and he is already eating and breathing on his own, but he still does not sit or crawl. He is very active in moving his legs and rolling over on his stomach and back, but his arms, shoulders, neck and head are weak and poorly developed. The boy can hardly hold his head, there is no support on his arms, and it is difficult for him to pick up a toy. To improve his motor development, he needs high-quality systematic rehabilitation, and the family simply does not have the funds for it. Help this brave boy!
