Little Maksym was born with hypoxia and umbilical cord torsion, and after birth he did not cry or breathe. Doctors saved him by connecting him to a ventilator and performing resuscitation. Maksym swallowed amniotic fluid, so he was diagnosed with congenital pneumonia.

The boy spent the first 12 days of his life in intensive care, 8 of them under a ventilator, and then occasionally breathed with a mask because his blood oxygen level dropped. Maksym ate through a feeding tube, and until he was 5 months old, he was anemic. Then he had seizures, which were controlled with medication. In total, Maksym spent 2 months in the hospital.

At home, the boy developed differently from other children. Now Maksym is almost 2 years old and has a developmental delay, but he plays with toys and speaks in syllables. The boy holds his head and turns over. But he still needs help with rehabilitation, as his treatment needs to be continued. That is why we ask you to support this project and help Maksym to get into a new rehabilitation course. With us, the boy's struggle will be a little easier.
