In the Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Unit of Kyiv City Children’s Clinical Hospital No. 1, complex surgical, neurosurgical, and burn operations are performed every day.
This department admits the most critically ill young patients after surgery and provides them with continuous monitoring and care.
At any given time, up to 18 children in critical condition can be treated in the unit.

Currently, the hospital uses several old patient monitors that were once donated by volunteers from abroad. These devices have already been in use, are worn out, and most of them are almost unsuitable for further operation.

The department has only one modern Mindray monitor, which is why the medical staff is asking for support to purchase several more devices of the same model.

A unified model of monitors will allow doctors to:

  • connect all devices to a central monitoring station;

  • ensure simultaneous observation of the vital signs of all children in the unit;

  • respond promptly to any changes in the condition of young patients.

Thanks to the charitable support of 4FRIENDS, the hospital will receive two new modern Mindray uMEC120 patient monitors.

We sincerely thank 4FRIENDS for their trust and continued support of children’s medical institutions.
Together, we are saving children’s lives!
