My children are my wings

Thirteen-year-old boys usually dream about a shining career of a football player, a new cellphone, round-the-world journeys and new discoveries. Danil’s big dream is both surprising and shocking – this boy wants to move freely and bend his knee.

Just imagine for a moment that one of your legs is ten centimeters shorter – without an urgent surgery Danil Syrota will have to walk like this for the rest of his life… Danil has been bravely fighting for his life for three years. His ruthless enemy – osteogenic sarcoma of the lower third of the thigh, or in other words – cancer has cruelly stolen his carefree childhood. Instead of kicking the ball with his friends, Danil courageously overcame many surgeries, rounds of chemotherapies, amputation of his bone with the knee and painful rehabilitation.

Faith and love of his family and kind strangers who donated their money for Danil’s treatment – pulled the boy out of the dark abyss of oblivion. This family has faced a lot – Danil’s parents have also been fighting for their youngest daughter’s life. Little Miroslava has overcome ten surgeries with the latest one in Barcelona which cost 57,000 euros.

Today Danil is coming back to joys and troubles of life: he goes to school, travels a bit with friends, and even attends weight training. However, Danil’s every step is a remarkable feat that is increasingly difficult to live with. The prosthesis, which does not grow is making Danil’s walking more and more complicated. The boy’s dream of moving easily has its price about 1,378,000 UAH, that’s just how much a new German prosthetic MUTARS Xpand costs, which has a wonderful feature to grow with his leg. 170 thousand UAH are already collected and we plan to raise 1 000 000 UAH on the UBB platform, and rest of sum with the help of "Happy Baby" and "Patriot" funds, pages on social networks and through the media.

Only three months left to raise the necessary amount. Danil has high hopes that next spring he will be operated because it gives him a chance to live his life to the fullest – without pain and barriers. This Christmas let’s hold the ray of hope for Danil about his healthy leg! Danil wishes everyone who supports him "many presents under the Christmas tree." Let’s become magicians for our brave hero!
