Danylo's dream is to breathe deeply

Danylo is a cheerful and sociable guy, and since childhood he has been fond of sports: football and weightlifting. Currently, physical activity is almost completely prohibited for him. It all started when, at the age of 14, his parents began to notice a deformity in his chest (it began to fall inward). At the age of 18, Danylo developed back pain and breathing became difficult. It turned out that it was a chest malformation, in which several ribs do not develop, which leads to a depression on the front surface of the chest, displacement of the heart and impaired functioning, difficulty breathing, and curvature of the spinal axis.

The boy began to feel ashamed of his appearance and hide behind wide clothes, and his parents raised the alarm. The doctors diagnosed Danylo with a 3rd degree funnel-shaped chest deformity. After visiting the Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, the doctor recommended a radical method of treatment: correction of the funnel-shaped deformity using the Nass technique, which is an operation aimed at installing a metal plate under the sternocostal complex.

When Danya heard about the surgery, he was stunned. But there was no other way out. If the operation is not performed, there may be very serious consequences in the future. However, to perform the surgery, it is necessary to purchase a special metal plate. For Danylo's parents, finding such a sum of money is an extremely difficult task, and the operation must be done urgently, because the boy's health is deteriorating every day.
