Stepan's dream is to walk! 2

Stepan was born extremely tiny – weighing less than one kilogram. As a result of his premature birth, he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy.

Stepan is now five and a half years old. He actively attends rehabilitation sessions both at specialized centers and at home with his mother. Step by step, he is mastering new skills. Each achievement brings joy to the family and inspires them to keep moving forward. Stepan can now sit confidently and is learning to sit up on his own. He stands with support and can hold himself against a wall for about thirty seconds. The next important goal is to teach him how to stand up from a seated position – a difficult but very important step.

In addition to physical progress, his speech has improved significantly. A change in speech therapist brought noticeable results – Stepan now knows all the letters and actively repeats words. He can count to ten and even backwards. At the same time, he continues working on physical skills – with the help of a rehabilitation specialist, Stepan is training his balance and self-control.

Specialists note positive dynamics and are confident that Stepan has every chance of achieving significant improvement – the key is to keep going and continue intensive therapy. His parents invest all their love and energy into his development every day, never losing hope. But without our help, the family cannot manage on their own.
