Little Artem cannot walk because of a tumor for which he has been on treatment since birth. The Odesa maternity hospital suspected a problem because the baby did not move his legs, and there was an evident neoplasm on the back. The examination in Kyiv confirmed classical neuroblastoma. This is how the war for life began: six chemotherapy cycles, many examinations, general anesthesia, and additional drugs due to chemo side effects. Then another six months of supporting medication, endless tests and eventually remission.

Although the tumor has damaged the nerve endings responsible for the movement of the legs, rehabilitation gives little Artem hope to learn to walk. The Modrici Center, equipped with modern devices, specializes in pathologies accompanied by complex oncological diagnoses. However, the cost of such a cycle for Artem is more than 200,000 UAH.

Little Artem’s mother asks us for help: "Like all kids, Artemchyk loves cartoons, and it seems that he is better with gadgets than any adult. Only he can’t walk yet... I dream of seeing Artemchyk’s first steps. I want him so much to be able to live a full life, and play with other kids. We avoid playgrounds because it is too painful... We have come a long way in three years, and we have no right to stop! Please, give my child a chance to learn to walk. We need your help!".
