I dream to become a mother!

Mariia always loved to play with children, helped her mother with her younger sister. She began to dream about her future, about becoming a mother herself. And suddenly she got horrible news – a malignant tumor affected her female organs. Neuroblastoma at the age of 17 is a very complicated disease. She had to take an academic vacation and to fight for her life.

After intensive treatment Mariia needs to undergo MIBG scan that will indicates if there are residual neuroblastoma cells and where they are located. Unfortunately, such a scan is not performed in Ukraine. The clinic in Italy is ready to admit Mariia but it is necessary to pay the bill of 522 euros. Her mom is single and she has no more money.

Mariia fell ill at the end of last year. She began to complain of a strong pain in the abdomen. The gynecologist detected a tumor and the girl was immediately sent to the National Cancer Institute for an additional examination. They made an exact diagnosis and prescribed a treatment protocol. Since March, Mariia was under the supervision of oncologists: she received chemotherapies, had a surgery with a biopsy. Now she needs to know what to do next. She can get answers only with MIBG scan.
