It so happened that during birth, little Irynka suffered from asphyxia, which led to her being placed on a ventilator. The baby spent 20 days in intensive care, fighting for her life. The doctors warned her mother that the girl's condition was serious and that with such injuries, she would most likely not be able to lead a full life. However, her parents began to look for opportunities to help their daughter.
When Iryna turned one, she was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Since then, her struggle has continued to this day. The girl's life has been filled with rehabilitation, home exercises, and visits to a speech therapist, defectologist, psychologist, and physical therapy specialist.
Now the girl is 9 years old, she cannot walk on her own and has developmental delays, but she does not give up. Thanks to previous courses of treatment, Iryna can walk a little on her own, stand with support, and get dressed. Her speech has improved significantly. Last year, the girl started studying at a lyceum under an inclusive program. She is interested in music, loves to dance and draw, make up different stories and fairy tales, and collects cards with her favorite Korean pop stars. Iryna also started attending music school to learn piano, as this can help her learn to control her hyperkinesis (involuntary movements) of her hands and develop them. The girl loves live communication, but she gets upset when others do not understand her.
Systematic treatment in rehabilitation centers can improve Iryna's condition and bring even more visible results, but this family simply does not have the funds to continue it. Therefore, we urge everyone who cares to join our project and give Iryna even more sunny days filled with her favorite music and dancing. Without pain.
