Hope to return to normal life

   Six months ago, Nazarii was swimming and speaking English, but now he cannot even swallow on his own. The reason is autoimmune encephalitis. The immune system mistakenly attacks healthy brain cells, and the boy loses his skills. The drug Bioven helps to stop this process.
In accordance with cooperation agreement No. 21 between the Ukrainian Charity Exchange Charitable Foundation and the charity operator Pomagaem Charitable Foundation dated 31 August 2020 and supplementary agreement No. 21. 311 dated 23 April 2025, the project ‘Hope to Return to Normal Life’ was posted on the website dobro.ua with the aim of attracting charitable donations to pay for the treatment of Nazarii Fedorkiv.
      The initial amount to be raised was UAH 126,000.00 (one hundred and twenty-six thousand hryvnias, 00 kopecks). During the fundraising, it became necessary to use part of the funds collected on the website of the Ukrainian Charity Exchange Charitable Foundation - dobro.ua - to purchase medicines for the boy. Therefore, according to letters No. 214 dated 29 May 2025 and No. 375 dated 24 July 2025, we received UAH 50,745.00 (fifty thousand seven hundred and forty-five hryvnias, 00 kopecks) and UAH 38,355.00 (thirty-eight thousand three hundred and fifty-five hryvnias, 00 kopecks) to the Fund's account and continued fundraising on the dobro.ua platform. 
      In the summer of this year, we supported Nazarii with medicines worth 81,372.43 UAH (eighty-one thousand three hundred and seventy-two hryvnias, 43 kopecks), and in October we also helped the boy with medicines worth a total of 7,727.57 UAH (seven thousand seven hundred and twenty-seven hryvnias, 57 kopecks).
      When the entire amount needed to pay for the boy's treatment was collected on two information platforms: the Ukrainian Charity Exchange Charitable Foundation and the Pomagayem Charitable Foundation we asked our regular partners, the Ukrainian Charity Exchange, to close the fundraiser and reduce the project amount on the UBB to the actual amount raised – 96,120.74 UAH (ninety-six thousand one hundred and twenty hryvnias, 74 kopecks), and to transfer 7,020.74 UAH (seven thousand twenty hryvnias, 74 kopecks) to our current account to pay for Nazarii's treatment and project administration, in accordance with letter No. 10 dated 09.01.2026.
      In February of this year, we supported Nazarii with medicines worth 2,214.70 UAH (two thousand two hundred and fourteen hryvnias, 70 kopecks) and also paid for the administration of the project.
Nazarii is now at home after undergoing medical procedures. He underwent a course of treatment with Bioven at the paediatric department of the district polyclinic in Chortkiv. A small rehabilitation department was recently opened on the seventh floor of this polyclinic, where Nazarii is actively engaged in recovery. In addition, his parents have hired a private massage therapist who will conduct sessions at home. Rehabilitation in Modrychi is planned for April.
      Currently, all funds transferred from the Ukrainian Charity Exchange have been spent on the child's needs.
