Hope to return to normal life

      Six months ago, Nazarii was swimming and speaking English, but now he cannot even swallow on his own. The reason is autoimmune encephalitis. The immune system mistakenly attacks healthy brain cells, and the boy loses his skills. The drug Bioven helps to stop this process.
      In accordance with cooperation agreement No. 21 between the Ukrainian Charity Exchange Charitable Foundation and the charity operator Pomagayem Charitable Foundation dated 31 August 2020 and supplementary agreement No. 21. 311 dated 23 April 2025, the project ‘Hope to Return to Normal Life’ was posted on the website dobro.ua with the aim of attracting charitable donations to pay for the treatment of Nazarii Fedorkiv.
      During the fundraising, it became necessary to use part of the funds collected on the website of the Ukrainian Charity Exchange Charitable Foundation – dobro.ua – to purchase medicines for the boy. Therefore, according to letter No. 214 dated 29 May 2025, we received the collected amount of 50,745.00 UAH (fifty thousand seven hundred and forty-five hryvnias, 00 kopecks) to the Fund's account and continued the collection on the dobro.ua platform. 
     In June of this year, we purchased the drug "Bioven" for Nazariy for UAH 50,745.00 (fifty thousand seven hundred forty-five hryvnias, 00 kopecks), and in July we supported the guy with medicines for a total amount of UAH 30,627.43 (thirty thousand six hundred twenty-seven hryvnias, 43 kopecks).
      Nazarko and his mother are currently in St. Nicholas Hospital (Lviv). The child recently underwent an MRI and an encephalogram. The boy's physical health has improved, only problems with the work of his right hand, problems with consciousness and worldview remain. According to the latest MRI, there are no active foci, and those that were have managed to cause trouble, especially in the frontotemporal part of the left side.
      Nazariy does not speak, his seizures have become more frequent, not lasting long, up to 10 seconds, the hospital managed to stop them. The doctor must prescribe a further course of treatment.
      We plan to use the remaining unused funds in the amount of 7,727.57 UAH (seven thousand seven hundred twenty-seven hryvnias, 57 kopecks) for Nazariy's needs in 2025, the project is still collecting funds.
