Feed a child-2

The aim of this project is to buy products to feed children in charitable refectory of CF ‘Caritas Kyiv”. Unfortunately, we lack money for work of the refectory. The Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace collected money with help of “Feed a child” project to by fish products for the refectory, but only for half a year. Nevertheless, other quality products are required for normal activity of the facility. Though there is not enough money to buy them, that’s why it is the second time we address for help.

Regardless various types of activities implemented, Caritas Foundation has provided hot meals for needful people since 1992. The main category of charitable refectory recipients seizes children and teenagers. At the moment these are kids from crisis, low-income, single-parent and large families and disabled youngsters, all in all, 50-80 people. Some of them don’t have parents, if they do – they are unemployed and can’t give children the most essential - ultimate nutrition. The majority of families have big debts for communal service, some of them live in another person’s flats, some dwell nearly on streets, or on streets. They don’t have money for medical treatment, clothes or hygiene means. These kids come to charitable refectory of Caritas, where they can eat things they could only dream about. It is undoubtedly true that for people that don’t have problems with nutrition it is difficult to understand joy of eating food, but for these youngsters meals in charitable refectory support the living, give possibility to study and develop their personalities.

Unluckily, financial means for work of charitable refectory are insufficient. Recently the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace and all people of a good will gave a helping hand and donated money for this great initiative. On the web-site of the international charitable foundation - www.ubb.org.ua – the first project called “Feed a child” was placed in order to involve charitable contributions to buy fish for the refectory. 13 450 UAH was collected for a short period of time. In fact, with help of all kind-hearted people for more than half a year children will eat fish and fish products!

At the same time other products are needed for normal activity, but we lack money to buy them, that’s why we address for help for the second time. We ask to assist in purchasing products to feed poor children!
