Feed the isolated
Now, for millions of people, the coronavirus pandemic has become a huge food hazard problem. According to the latest reports from the World Health Organization, people over 60 and people with health problems are the most vulnerable groups facing COVID-19 disease. Instead of staying home, they are forced to go out and buy food, which increases their risk of getting sick and dying.
Western Ukrainian regions, including Lviv, are at risk of becoming the epicenter of the coronavirus in Ukraine as thousands of Ukrainian workers from Italy, Spain, Poland, Germany and Russia have crossed borders in Western Ukraine in the past 2 weeks. To prevent the spread of coronavirus, the Sheptytsky Hospital Charity Fund aims to expand the home care program by providing food delivery for people from target groups.
The Lviv City Council and social services will also provide the Hospital Sheptytsky list of people who need support during quarantine period. The city's social services will create daily up-to-date lists that will be transferred to BF Hospital Sheptytsky for doing regular delivery of food.
We plan to feed more than 200 people.
