Nastia is thirteen years old and can hardly see anything. Four years ago, her eyesight began to deteriorate rapidly. Doctors diagnosed her with complicated cataracts in both eyes. It was necessary to undergo ophthalmic surgery immediately, but the family's lack of funds prevented them from doing so. The child almost completely lost her sight.

Nastia is growing up in difficult conditions. She is raised by a single mom, and has 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Of course, it is very difficult for a mother to raise five children on her own. She is chronically short of money. She is unable to find a job in the village where they live, and she cannot go abroad as a migrant worker because she has no one to leave her children with.

Doctors at Kyiv's OKHMATDYT assure Nastia that the replacement of her eye lenses will give her back the ability to see. The girl hopes so, because now she can neither get a quality education nor lead a full life. For four years now, Nastia has been studying at home, only by ear. Of all the possible teenage hobbies, only music is available to her. Nastia spends her time with her younger brother and sister. By the way, her sister, who studies in the 4th grade, is both a help and a friend to her.

Having got into such trouble, the girl sincerely hopes for recovery and the return of her sight. Now Nastya dreams of becoming a pediatrician after graduation so that she can help sick children.
