Nazar: I will overcome the disease! 2

7-year-old Nazar has been struggling with two ailments almost all his life: cerebral palsy and mental retardation. The birth was difficult, the boy was not breathing and was placed under a ventilator. The baby was very weak, did not eat anything, did not hold his head, did not try to sit, crawl, walk and talk.

In the year Nazar was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, then the systematic and intensive treatment of the boy began. Thanks to the persistence of the boy, he learned to stand on all fours on his own, do push-ups on his hands, lying on his stomach, be calm and control the movements of his body.

The war found mother and son in a rehabilitation center in Kyiv. That night divided their lives, like the lives of thousands of Ukrainians, into “before” and “after”. Nazar took the information very hard, he was afraid of the sirens and did not understand why enemy missiles were flying at our country. And recently, he told his mother that when he becomes an adult, he will join the army and will defend his country...
