For 16 years in a row, Vitalii Vasyliuk from Kvasyliv, Rivne community, has been fighting his own quiet and exhausting battle. His front line is not trenches, but daily pain, spasticity, and convulsions that prevent his body from obeying him.
Vitalii is one of twins. During birth, there were serious complications that led to severe brain damage. Instead of a carefree childhood, he faced a long list of challenges: cerebral palsy (spastic quadriplegia), epilepsy and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, persistent contractures of the joints of the arms and legs, strabismus, and delayed psychomotor and motor development.
From the very first days of his life, he has been fighting for stability. Intensive care, hospitals, and long-term treatment. Over the years, nothing has become easier the struggle has simply become a daily routine. Intensive rehabilitation courses, painful exercises, sessions with specialists, seizure control, constant medication support – all this is part of his normal day.
But despite his difficult condition, Vitalii does not give up. Each rehabilitation session brings results. He is gradually gaining better control of his hands, can move with the support of a walker, and is more attentive to the world around him. His eyes light up when he watches football matches – these moments bring him real joy.
The young man has undergone 38 rehabilitation courses. It is thanks to systematic work that it is possible to maintain the progress achieved and prevent his condition from worsening. However, due to the war and financial difficulties, it is becoming increasingly difficult for the family to pay for treatment. A break means a setback – increased pain, spasticity, and loss of skills acquired through years of hard work. To prevent this from happening, Vitalii needs another course of rehabilitation.
We are asking for your support.
Even a small contribution is part of a great cause. It is a chance to reduce pain, preserve achievements, and give Vitalii the opportunity to move forward.
Please join the fundraiser. Together, we can support him in this long struggle for a dignified life.
