Not to waste time

Katia was born under shelling in Sloviansk. More than two years ago, Katia, who was left without parental care, was taken into the family by Tetiana. Katia has plenty of love and care, but she needs hearing aids to hear speech and actively develop.

Tetiana evacuated to Dnipro from Lysychansk in March 2022 with seven-year-old Oleh, the son of a deceased friend. In August, she became the foster mother of three-month-old Katia. In February 2023, two more children appeared in the family, Ivan and Nastia.

Katia regularly underwent examinations by an audiologist due to possible hearing problems – her mother has hearing loss. Katia was diagnosed in the summer of 2023: bilateral sensorineural hearing loss, chronic cochleitis, delayed speech development.

Katia is a very smart girl. She communicates with emotions, gestures, and sounds, but hearing problems prevent her from developing.

Katia is emotional, cheerful, and active. She loves to dance, watch animals in the yard, and draw. The young artist needs freedom, so she often gets caught up in the wallpaper. Unfortunately, her sound picture of the world is indistinct noise. And the girl wants to communicate and develop so much!

At the expense of the state, Katia was given one hearing aid for her right ear, which she hears worse, but it no longer copes. The girl hears only loud sounds at a distance of up to a meter, and in a noisy environment she cannot understand speech at all.
