Unskilled tests of Ksenia

Kseniia's life history is her patient history. The baby got on the operating table right after birth. Two operations were done simultaneously then: a spinal hernia in the lumbar spine was removed, and the brain was shunted because of the diagnosis of hydrocephalus. Congenital pathologies of Kseniia include the luxation and subluxation of both hips, paralysis of the legs.

Then bone deformation of Kseniia’s skeleton began, scoliosis developed. On progressing of this disease, it was possible to establish its cause: doctors diagnosed a fixed spinal cord, that is, a cord affixed to the spine, a rare pathology that does not allow the child's organism to develop normally. Now there is an urgent need to install a growing construction on the spine since scoliosis reached already fourth, critical degree and threatens the child's life. 

And recently Ksiusha did this operation. She was placed on the spine of a growing metal structure. Because of the fixation of the spinal cord to the vertebral column, scoliosis, and skewed spine, the girl's spinal cord before surgery was deformed and clamped. The child could not breathe freely, she had no sensation in her legs, she did not control the function of the bladder. After the operation, Ksiusha stopped gasping, her lumbar spine lined, and weak movements appeared in the legs.

Now the child is shown a complex neurorehabilitation for restoring the body's functions, strengthening the muscles and increasing the sensitivity in the legs. The Vernygora rehabilitation center is ready to take the girl for treatment. But the cost of treatment is 251 472 UAH– is prohibitive for a rural family, in which one more child is growing and where only the father works. Therefore, parents and turn to all not indifferent people with the request to help in saving her daughter!
