Let little Maria smile!

On the photo you can see a 4-year-old Masha Lugovets, the fifth child in a family, carefully holding her toy and looking at us with a smile. It's hard to believe that almost three years ago none of this - neither sitting nor holding items, nor speaking, nor even holding her head was possible. All because of the terrible disease - encephalitis in a very severe form, that caught the baby when she was one year and two months old. The doctors did not promise anything. The child spent almost a year of her life in the infectious diseases hospital...

And then a miracle happened – the meeting with Dr. Bersenev. After two years of treatment Masha learned to walk again, now she can run and even walk up the stairs. And recently the baby has started to speak!

To say that her mother is happy about it is to say nothing. When you have five kids, no husband, and you are simply forced to retire due to the disease of the smallest child your feelings are indescribable. Happiness is when the treatment helps, horror – when you have no money to continue it. But there still remains a faint hope that there are good people who understand a mother's heart and will be able to share a part of their warmth and a little bit of money so that Masha could continue the treatment and catch up with her peers.

Masha’s mother, herself 18 years nursed sick children at the House of the baby, immensely happy, watching her progress. But the difficult financial situation does not allow them to continue treatment, and without it – all the efforst spent in a long, exhausting struggle for the health of their daughter will be in vain.
