Five-year-old Mariyka needs funds for a new rehabilitation course – to keep developing and moving towards her dream of taking her first independent steps.
After birth, doctors discovered that the girl had jaundice that wouldn't go away. Mariyka was transferred to the pathology unit, where after numerous examinations, doctors diagnosed her with bilirubin encephalopathy, brain subatrophy, mixed hydrocephalus, and dystonic-hyperkinetic syndrome. Her first rehabilitation took place at five months, and at one year old, cerebral palsy was confirmed.
Mariyka is now 5 years old. She has motor impairments: she cannot grasp objects, does not actively hold her head up, cannot roll over, sit, or walk independently. But rehabilitation brings real results – and this little girl is not giving up.
"After each rehabilitation course, we see improvements in the child's physical and emotional condition. Mariyka has become more active, she is developing a pointing gesture and making more sounds. With gratitude, the Nabok family. You are wonderful!", says Maryna, Mariyka's mother.
Every course is one more step towards the day this little girl walks on her own. Please support Mariyka on this journey.
