Department of Intensive therapy of newborns of Ivano-Frankivsk regional children's clinical hospital specializes in helping the prematurely born children and vitally needs to renew the contours of the apparatuses of artificial lungs ventilation, which will help to significantly increase the the quality and the safety of the ventilatory support of these kids, at a stage of their transportation in department of intensive therapy. The purpose of this project is to raise funds for sensors to the breathing circuit, which help doctors save lives of little patients.

Children who are born prematurely, before 28 weeks, in particular, are unable to effectively breathe independently due to the immaturity of both the lung tissue and respiratory muscle weakness, immaturity of the respiratory center of the brain. This raises the need for an artificial respiratory support for these children with a special, very "gentle", ventilator. One of the main components of these devices is a contour which consists of the number of different hoses, tubes, adapters. It is the integrity of its structure that provides an impermeability, safety of the ventilation mechanics and absence of infectious complications. All components of the circuit are required to undergo decontamination with special solutions or ultrasound after use, but it leads, unfortunately, to their damage.

The use of sealed circuits for mechanical ventilation for newborns enables carrying out the effective and safe ventilation support of sick children, reduces the risk of injury to the lungs and brain vessels, prevents infectious complications. Due to these effects, our Impatient's can be sooner transferred into the non-invasive ventilation methods, further to the subsequent stages of nursing and will soon be discharged home, where they've been awaited by the whole family!
