An unusual girl needs vision treatment

Bohdana is only a little over a year old, but her life is not a happy one. The girl was born prematurely with a number of congenital diseases. Her grandmother takes care of her, as her mother has had a Group 1 disability since childhood, suffers from cerebral palsy and is physically unable to do so.

Since her birth, Bohdana has had to fight for her life. In the first months, she was gaining weight well and it seemed that all the troubles were over. Unfortunately, a few months later, doctors told her grandmother that the child had several serious illnesses. The baby has brain atrophy, secondary hydrocephalus, and central nervous system damage. And on top of that, he has bilateral congenital cataracts.

But the grandmother is not going to give up and is constantly engaged in the treatment of her granddaughter. Bohdana's mother and her grandmother are trying to do everything possible to ensure that the child's life is supported and that she is rehabilitated. First of all, they create conditions for the girl's full development, according to her physical and mental characteristics. However, her vision problems make it extremely difficult to interact with Bohdana, limit her emotional development, affect her socialization and even delay her physical development, as they limit her motor activity.

Bohdana needs two surgeries to replace the lenses of both eyes. This can be done at the Kyiv Okhmatdyt. With sight, the little girl's life will change significantly for the better, but her grandmother needs help in purchasing the ophthalmic materials necessary for the treatment. Help!
