Last summer, seven-year-old Nicole was admitted to the intensive care unit in a very serious condition. The child was almost comatose. Doctors diagnosed the girl with a serious condition – insulin-dependent type 1 diabetes. It was a real shock for the mother. For the first week, she just hoped that Nicole would come to her senses. Everything else seemed trivial. Nicole is her mother's only child, the most desired one. No one ever thought that this could happen to a girl.

This little girl is cheerful and very active, she is a smart girl who did well in school. She was a member of the swimming club. She is very creative. She draws well and even has her own YouTube channel. Nicole dreams of becoming a blogger and a Minecraft developer.

A year has passed. Mom and daughter have learned to control their sugar levels, count food correctly, and even returned to swimming lessons.

Mom doesn't work because she has to be with her daughter all the time. She is learning a new life herself and teaching it to Nicole, because she has to live with it now. For better control of her sugar, Nicole needs sensors. They are not cheap, and her mother is not able to provide them all the time. Without the sensors, the child has to pierce her fingers 20 times a day. Mom asks for help for Nicole.
