NIS Ukraine – caring for children is everyone 's concern!

From the very first days of its operations on the market of our country the company took the path of a socially responsible business and provide help with purchasing the equipment for children's hospitals all over Ukraine.

Part of the profit from its activity "NIS Ukraine" dedicates to charity. Due to the social responsibility of the company we are able to purchase a special lamp of phototherapy for the department of premature born children of Ivano-Frankivs'k Regional Children's Hospital. 80 percent of preterm born children, especially those, whose weight at birth is lower than 1500 grams, have a jaundice that needs to be treated. Ther is a special phototherapy lamp for the effective and nob-aggressive treatment, - its rays have a specific wavelength and are able to turn harmful bilirubin into a form that is easily removed from the body, that is, a phototherapy lamp acts as a mature liver.

In 1-2 weeks of lamp usage, the newborn's liver starts functioning normally and we save the baby's brain from toxic lesions with bilirubin and avoid transfusion of another's blood. With this lamp, the newborn can be treated with phototherapy in a bed, lying on a special lamp coating. Moreover, if the lower-type lamp is used together with a top-type lamp, this will help increase the irradiation area, and the level of bilirubin will decrease in a matter of hours. Just imagine, these little grateful kids will not suffer from the negative effects of "evil bilirubin."
