What's worse getting cancer or blind? Or maybe getting cancer and blindness? We do not know whether Nastya tells someone about their fears, how she struggles with them, and how do not lose hope living in total darkness and pain? Nastya Prokopenko will be able to forget about their fears if people would come to help!

 

Nastya childhood can be described in three following stages: 10 years old - acute lymphoblastic leukemia, hospital and therapy. 13 years - CNS- relapse, vision and hearing loss, hospitalisation and maintenance chemotherapy. 15 years - the second CNS- relapse and total blindness, hospital and the second radical chemotherapy.

Nastya sick five years ago, when was visiting his grandmother in Kharkov. Disease returned six months after. Girl suffered from severe headaches, her vision and hearing deteriorated. The physicians could not quickly determine relapse so three weeks was lost. During this time the girl is completely blind and partially lost her hearing. Hearing fortunately recovered but was unable to regain vision.

But Nastya is not given up. Girl found strength for new knowledge and skills after psychotherapy in 2011. Today she is able to type on the computer blindly, playing on electronic piano and knits. She had to start learning at boarding school for blind children. Was plans, objectives, expectations ... And suddenly again back this terrible pain that bursting head inside. "Mom, I know what it is. That has happened with me already … Mom it is RELAPSE ... "

Nastya passes his hand over the hospital wall, over the bed and the nightstand. She remembers it all. She does not want but she has to remember. She must learn this space, make it yours. Not to be lost, not to be frightened. Now only mother's voice is her Ariadne's thread which allows to navigate in space, do not be afraid.

Now Nastya getting the radical chemotherapy. But she needs unrelated bone marrow transplantation. It is the only chance to halt the disease. Such operations are only abroad. Parents sent out requests to various Cynics of Italy, Germany, Austria. Only German doctors willing to take the treatment blind girl. 

The cost of treatment will be 180 000 euros. This is an incredibly large sum for an ordinary Ukrainian family. But it is the only chance for salvation Nastya! Please help Nastya

The cost of treatment in Istanbul of 180 thousand dollars. On UBB we collect part of the required amount. This is an incredibly large sum for an ordinary Ukrainian family. But, if the aid will come from thousands of people, the child can take advantage of this unique chance!

This project was canceled, the amount collected is 92 740 UAH. The funds were disposed of in accordance with the Rules, Principles, and Procedures of the Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace (UBB) International Charitable Fund and the decisions of the Project Donors.
