There is a special night when time slows its pace and the world holds its breath in anticipation. The air, frosty and pure, is filled with the scent of pine branches and tangerines. It is a night children spend in eager expectation of a gift under the Christmas tree, in absolute certainty that on this very night, St. Nicholas will surely visit their home.
The New Year holidays are a magical time when hearts are filled with hope, a time when even adults begin to believe in miracles. But what if childhood is filled with anxiety? What if, instead of awaiting a fairytale, there is fear, and instead of joy, there is uncertainty? It is in such times that the belief in miracles becomes a vital necessity. For children who have lost their peaceful lives due to difficult circumstances and war, a New Year's miracle is a ray of sunshine in the darkness.
Eighty children in the city of Kyiv are waiting for this miracle. Eighty unique stories, eighty pairs of eyes looking to the future with hope. Our beneficiaries—children from internally displaced families, from large low-income families, as well as orphans and children deprived of parental care from our Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation – may, due to this year's difficult circumstances, be left without a real celebration. But they continue to believe. And we cannot let them down.
Our goal is to create a New Year's fairy tale that will remain in these children's memories for a long time, reminding them that there is goodness in the world and that dreams can come true.
Thanks to your support of our project, we will be able to deliver a miracle for 80 children in Kyiv. We will organize and host a holiday party for the children under the care of our Foundation, cover the costs for the event organizer, and purchase sweets, juice, and other items for a festive sweet table.
Give these children hope, joy, faith in miracles, and memories that will last a lifetime!
