New Year's miracle for Nastya!
Nastya Lutsenko turned 16 on August 10. During these 16 years, terrible days have repeatedly come, when no one could say whether Nastya will be tomorrow at all... She went to the 11th grade, next summer she dreams of entering law school. The girl has a rare serious disease, from which her father and grandmother died young And Nastya's mother dreams of seeing her daughter in a prom dress. It is unbelievable that all this will happen in a few months. For Nastya and her mother's dreams to come true, you need to find UAH 425 000 for the operation by January.
Nastenka has a rare genetic disease: Peitz-Jeghers syndrome, when the organs of the gastrointestinal tract become covered with tumor-like formations. Her father and grandmother died of this disease. In developed countries, the practice of treating such a disease is the same: remove neoplasms as they appear. Only in our country they do not undertake this, because there are no specialists and high-tech equipment.
After many years of searching and correspondence with various clinics, my mother managed to find a doctor in Japan who agreed to operate on Nastya with the endoscopic method. With the help of caring people, our foundation, another children's foundation in Germany, Nastya collected money three times for surgical treatment in Japan.
The years 2018-2019 have become very difficult for Nastya. Due to hormonal surges, the disease has acquired a more aggressive course. The girl underwent 3 operations in the Dnieper in one winter, which gave almost no relief; For 4 months I was constantly on IVs. Finally, funds with your participation were found, in the spring of 2019 Nastya had polyps removed again in Japan, and she felt much better! When, a few days after returning to Ukraine, Nastya cheerfully went to school, not all of us were able to hold back tears of joy.
Unfortunately, the hormonal background still provokes the active formation of new polyps. In the spring of 2020, there were already "first bells": Nastya was admitted to the Regional Children's Hospital with pain, nausea, and intestinal obstruction. They were able to help her with medication, but in January Nastya will need another operation in Japan, costing $ 25,800. Fortunately, a German fund allocated 10,000 euros for Nastya. This means that we have to collect UAH 425,000. Let's help Nastya live!
