In the maternity ward, everything should be organized as much as possible for the efficient and rapid work of medical staff and the provision of help to newborn babies. Often it happens that children from the very first inhale require accurate and fast operational assistance. And the most important aspect for the maternity hospital and all its premises is light. This is especially important in the surgery room, where high-quality lighting is an important factor of the successfully conducted surgery. The purpose of our project is to purchase a lamp for the surgery department of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Children's Clinical Hospital hospital, where the everyday lives of newborn babies are being saved. 

Surgical Lamp (Luminaire) is a mandatory element of the lighting system of any surgery system. In the maternity hospital, an important role in the diagnosis and treatment of children plays the lighting. In fact, in a bad light, it is difficult to properly review the child, to determine visual deviations from the norm, as well as perform thin manipulations (installation of a dropper, invasion manipulations, etc.). Particularly important is the light for operating, because here the doctor, based on the results of surveys and its sights should carry out the most difficult manipulations on eliminating violations in the functioning of the organs and systems of the small organism. Due to the fact that for surgical intervention natural light is not enough, the lamp set here is to give a more powerful light flux. In this case, the surgical light used here must be convened with certain requirements so that the surgeon could perform his work qualitatively and professionally.

Operational lamp (LED or other models) must meet the following requirements:
• Being shadowless. Any operating lamp should shine in a way not to drop the shadows.
• Lack of fading. It is meant that the operating lamp's light should be bright and powerful, not to create fading.
• The light spectrum of bulbs must to the maximum possible extent approach the natural daylight. This is necessary to ensure the correct color perception by the surgeon and the anesthesiologist.

In addition, the surgical bulb should be completely safe in terms of operation. This means that the lamp needs to be secured firmly on the rack so that it does not fall to the operating table during surgical manipulations. Also, safe sources of light must be used in it. The safest of today are LED bulbs, which practically do not heat up during the process of their work, but also do not contain poisonous and toxic substances, such as luminescent and halogen sources of light.

In Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Children's Clinical Hospital the lamp is burnt and can not be replaced, and now the lives of children are under threat. Let us all together help doctors quickly and qualitatively save the lives of children!
