MIBG scanning for Alina

The price for Alina’s mother restful sleep is 1 000 EUR. It’s the price for MIBG scanning in Hungary. This examination is not performed here in Ukraine but the girl needs it very much. She needs it to be sure that the disease has disappeared and all the hardships are left behind, so that she could happily celebrate Christmas Eve with Santa Claus at home and not at the hospital with droppers, as you can see on the photo. She could return to real life after fighting fiercely for it.

Till three and a half years Alina grew up a healthy and active child, lively and witty. Unfortunately, the disease affected this little girl. A tumor in the retroperitoneal space was detected during a medical ultrasound examination by chance, quite a miracle. The treatment lasted almost a year: six chemotherapy cycles, a surgery… Her desire to survive, her love of life helped not only deal with the pain but also to support her mommy in the most difficult moments.

Alina has a sensitive heart. She dreams of becoming a doctor when she grows up. But now she needs our support. After completing treatment the little girl needs MIBG scanning which is impossible in Ukraine because of the absence of very expensive equipment. The price of MIBG scanning is 1 000 EUR. The mother cannot pay this bill and she even has credits in banks. Alina has only her mother because the father decided he couldn’t cope with his daughter disease and left the family.
