Thank you to all benefactors who support the project and our friends from the Netherlands! The amount was increased to support for more lonely elderly people.

From all sides we hear calls to prepare for a severe winter. The government asks every Ukrainian to prepare their homes for frost, for possible gas and electricity cuts, to stock up on food and water, and to buy warm things. If this task is more or less real for young and able-bodied Ukrainians, it is overwhelming for the elderly.

Due to the full-scale invasion of Russia, the number of people in need has grown wildly, and the state physically does not have time to cover all areas in a timely manner. Lonely old women can only hope for a miracle. But a miracle will not happen if we do not unite and pay attention to the problems of the elderly.

Since 2015, the charity foundation "Let's help" has systematically and comprehensively supported the elderly. 127 geriatric boarding houses and 15,000 pensioners in 10 regions of Ukraine are under the care of the fund. The purpose of the fund is to ensure dignified old age in Ukraine. And the main task at the moment is to prepare geriatric boarding houses for the winter period and provide comfortable living conditions for old women during the war.

We want to implement a project thanks to which we will buy warm clothes, blankets, blankets and other warm things for 1000 lonely elderly people who live in geriatric boarding houses and in-patient departments of territorial social assistance centers under our care. Due to insufficient funding of most of these institutions from the state and local self-government bodies, they do not have the opportunity to purchase additional means for heating and warm clothing. These establishments are mainly located in regions where single grandparents from occupied or heavily shelled regions move for temporary stay, and in those boarding houses where the funding situation is currently the most difficult.

It is assumed that 1000 "winter kits" will be purchased with the funds raised through this project, including delivery for lonely elderly people in Poltava, Cherkasy, Kyiv and Chernihiv regions. The average cost of a kit is 550-700 UAH (at the time of purchase, the amount may change depending on the market value), respectively, for the purchase of 1000 of them, about 770,000 UAH are needed with delivery. UPD Dec 29, 2022 our new goal to rise 1 150 000 UAH to help geriatric nursing home residents.

We turn to you, our dear benefactors! Join the project to prepare for the winter period "Wrap yourself with warmth", old women really need everyone's support!

Let's not be indifferent to the problems of the elderly. Let's take care of their well-being together!
