Envelop the defenders with warmth

The project ‘Wrap the defenders in warmth’ was posted on the dobro.ua platform of the UBB Charitable Foundation in September 2024. Since there was a need to make candles for the defenders, we asked to transfer the funds raised as of November 2024 according to the letter of 11.11.2024 No. 153. Thanks to the funds raised, we were able to produce and send 1000 trench candles to our defenders in December. A total of 46 volunteers took part in the production. The volunteers collected 500 litres of alcohol antiseptic and 18 kilograms of cotton wool. They spent UAH 17,000.00 (seventeen thousand hryvnias and 00 kopecks).
In January 2025, the entire project amount was raised. 1000 metal cans were purchased. During the events with volunteers, 1000 trench alcohol candles were made and sent to the defenders. A total of 24 volunteers took part in the events.
During the period December 2024-February 2025, the funds raised on dobro.ua in the amount of UAH 34,000.00 (thirty-four thousand UAH 00 kopecks) were spent to produce 2000 trench alcohol candles.
Thanks to the project, we have provided Ukraine's defenders on the front line with trench candles to help them stay warm and fulfil basic household needs in combat. Each candle symbolises support from the rear and is an important element in the overall struggle for victory.
