Envelop the defenders with warmth

Our project aims to produce trench alcohol candles for Ukraine's defenders on the frontline. The candles provide the necessary heat, light and the ability to heat food or water in the field, where there is no access to electricity and other resources. This is an important contribution to maintaining the comfort and morale of our soldiers.

The ‘Wrap the Defenders in Warmth’ project was launched on the dobro.ua platform of the UBB Charitable Foundation in September 2024. Since there was a need to make candles for the defenders, we asked to transfer the funds raised as of November 2024 according to the letter of 11.11.2024 No. 153. Thanks to the funds raised, we were able to produce and send 1000 trench candles to our defenders in December. A total of 46 volunteers took part in the production. The volunteers collected 500 litres of alcohol antiseptic and 18 kilograms of cotton wool. The total cost was UAH 17,000.00 (seventeen thousand hryvnias and 00 kopecks).

Thanks to the project, we are providing Ukraine's defenders at the front line with trench candles to help them stay warm and fulfil basic household needs in the face of combat. Each candle symbolises support from the rear and is an important element in the overall struggle for victory.
