Oleksandra: embracing dreams and modern technology

Since birth, Sasha has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy, spastic tetraparesis, and a mixed form of hyperkinesis. He needs to undergo systematic rehabilitation 3–4 times a year at specialized rehabilitation centers. With proper organization of treatment and rehabilitation, children with diagnoses like Sasha’s can lead a virtually normal life. Our goal is to help Sasha walk again and give the Ryabushenko family the joy of having a child with full mobility. 

The project began on April 29, 2026. Thanks to charitable donations, a total of 40,000.00 UAH was raised on the platform of the Charitable Organization International Charitable Foundation “Ukrainian Charity Exchange” (dobro.ua). After the completion of the course, which ran from June 15 to 24, we paid the International Center for Rehabilitation and Neurophysiology an invoice for Oleksandra’s rehabilitation in the amount of 40,000.00 UAH. 

Mom wrote in her letter: “We’re so happy that this much-needed course for Sasha took place. This time, she worked very well—both with the boys  on physical therapy exercises for balance and with the speech therapists on breathing. Because with the type of dysarthria Sasha has, it’s very important  to learn to breathe correctly in order to pronounce words more clearly, and she has a very big problem with that. She also did well in occupational therapy—we’re not giving up; we want to teach Sasha how to sign her name (when she gets her passport at age 18, and at the bank to get a debit card). Next year she’ll turn 18, and I don’t want her to lose her legal capacity; to ensure that, she must at least be able to sign documents on her own.
We are infinitely grateful to everyone who was involved in this fundraiser, who helped raise the necessary amount so that Sasha could receive these much-needed sessions with such wonderful specialists!
During the course, we received two important consultations from neurosurgeons at the Ramadanov Clinic and Feofaniya Hospital—Sasha is facing a very serious surgical procedure ahead, but that will be another story.”
