The coveted path to recovery

Looking at the photo of this smiling baby, you can't even imagine how many tests has he withstood over three years of his life! And it has begun not as easy as it seemed to be. His future parents desired to have a child but they have never had children. They have waited for a baby for a long time. Finally, after many examinations they decided to make a very expensive in vitro fertilization; in other words, artificial insemination. When the future parents were informed that two boys would be born, they felt on top of the world! 

But when the sons were 4 months old, parents noticed that one of them, Gleb, fell behind with his brother in development. From that moment a new struggle has taken place, a struggle for his recovery. When the boy was one year of age, he was diagnosed as cerebral palsy, spastic diplegia.

Gleb is a 3-year-old boy now and it’s hard to imagine how painful his way to recovery is, how many difficulties he has already got over. Surgery, a great number of rehabilitation courses at various medical centers, acupuncture, transcranial direct current stimulation, Music therapy, pharmacotherapy etc. The kid holds his own. Furthermore, neurologists say that Gleb is a very promising child who can be stood on his feet in the future and will get better. Parents did everything in their power. Unfortunately, it is beyond the family’s powers to overcome this terrible diagnosis financially. And it would be very painful to stop halfway to the goal. Therefore, Gleb’s mom and dad are asking all not indifferent people to help them in their uphill struggle for their son’s health.
