A year after the outbreak of full-scale war, Svitlana Chemova faced another disaster. After returning from evacuation to her home in the Kharkiv region, she was forced to go to the doctors. Doctors diagnosed her with cancer. Endless examinations began and the diagnosis was like a verdict – cancer. The doctors performed the first surgery, but were unsuccessful. Then they decided to treat Svitlana with chemotherapy. Then they performed a second surgery, which was quite successful. And again chemotherapy.

Thanks to all those who cared, Svitlana found the money to pay for this treatment. It is only thanks to people's help that she has hope of being cured of this terrible disease. But the path to healing is not yet complete. The latest check-up showed that thanks to the treatment, the woman's body is fighting cancer cells. But these medications must be taken continuously. But even with constant medication, Svitlana felt an improvement in her health: she had the strength to work, walk the streets, and enjoy every day. Even the tests today are almost normal, as far as possible for such a disease.

But the medicines that doctors prescribed for Svitlana are incredibly expensive. It is difficult for an ordinary person to earn such a sum. But the woman does not lose hope, because thanks to caring people she is able to hug her family.
