Immediately after the birth, Mariyka’s parents noticed that her daughter had something wrong with the shape of her head. If you look in profile, the head was too round with a beveled occiput. Then the parents began a thorough examination of the baby. The doctors in Vinnytsia advised to consult the neurosurgeons in Kyiv. At the Institute of Neurosurgery, Mariyka was diagnosed with craniostenosis and recommended a reconstructive cranioplasty.

If this procedure is not performed in time, the brain will not have enough space for growth and development – and the child will not be able to develop normally. The Okhmatdyt Hospital can help the girl. This surgery requires special bio-plates to form a new head shape. Thus, the girl’s brain will have room for growth, and there will be no threat of its compression.

However, the bill for the necessary medical materials is almost 90,000 UAH. For a young family, this is a huge amount of money, and there is almost no time to wait. Only the father works in the family; the mother is on maternity leave; they have an older son.

Together we can help Mariyka lead a full life and develop with her peers!
