In 2014, six-year-old Arina saw rockets destroying Donetsk airport from her window. Long-term work with a psychologist after moving to Pavlohrad helped to alleviate the impact of traumatic memories. In 2022, Arina's panic attacks returned. And in 2024, she suddenly developed intestinal bleeding. After examinations, she was diagnosed with Crohn's disease.
In accordance with cooperation agreement No. 21 between the Ukrainian Charity Exchange Charitable Foundation and the charity operator Pomagaem Charitable Foundation dated 31 August 2020 and additional agreement No. 21.300 dated 20 February 2025, the project ‘Arm Arina against Crohn's disease’ was posted on the website dobro.ua with the aim of attracting charitable donations to pay for the treatment of Arina Piddubna.
During the fundraising, it became necessary to use part of the funds collected on the website of the Ukrainian Charity Exchange Charitable Foundation (dobro.ua) to purchase medicines for the girl. Therefore, according to letters No. 132 dated 25 March 2025 and No. 168 dated 28 April 2025 we received 17,000.00 UAH (seventeen thousand hryvnias, 00 kopecks) and 16,000.00 UAH (sixteen thousand hryvnias, 00 kopecks) to the Fund's account and continued the collection on the dobro.ua platform.
At the beginning of April this year, we purchased the drug ‘Humira’ for Arina in the amount of 12,298.20 UAH (twelve thousand two hundred ninety-eight hryvnias, 20 kopecks), and at the end of this month – in the amount of 4,701.80 UAH (four thousand seven hundred and one hryvnias, 80 kopecks).
In June, we purchased enteral nutrition for the girl for the amount of 12,794.58 UAH (twelve thousand seven hundred and ninety-four hryvnias, 58 kopecks).
Arina received 13 injections of the drug Humira, which had a positive effect on her physical and emotional state. During the exacerbation of the disease, the girl lost 15 kg, but since then she has managed to regain 8 kg, which indicates an improvement in her health. Arina's mother is very grateful for the help in purchasing enteral nutrition, thanks to which the girl is showing positive dynamics.
We plan to use the remaining unused funds in the amount of 3,205.42 UAH (three thousand two hundred and five hryvnias, 42 kopecks) for Arina's needs in 2025, as the project is still raising funds.
We sincerely thank the donors and partners of dobro.ua for their help, and the UBB team for their many years of cooperation!
