Victory for Viktoria!

Little Victoria’s mom was in apathy during the last months of pregnancy. The doctors assured the future mother that the baby might not even be born. The young woman had only to wait and to hope for a miracle… When a little daughter came into the world, breathed the first breath of air and screamed, her mom knew immediately that her name would be Viktoria, Victory. Although the girl was born with pathologies she stubbornly fought for her life. Now Viktoria is at the Institute of Neurosurgery; she needs a surgery that will give her a chance for a normal life. Let’s help the girl to win again!

The girl’s mother and father dated for a long time. They planned to get married but couldn’t do it for different reasons: either housing problems or lack of money. When the man went to work abroad the woman found out that she was pregnant. The pregnancy was going well. Regular examinations didn’t show anything to worry about.

Only in week 21 of pregnancy a spinal hernia was detected. The doctors’ prognoses were not comforting…

However, the girl was born tiny but strong. She was taken to the intensive care unit and then treated. At that time the mother consulted the doctors.

The local doctors couldn’t help little Viktoria and sent them to the Institute of Neurosurgery. The doctors plan a two stage surgery without which the girl will not be able to live a normal life. The family cannot cope on their own, that’s why they ask all kind-hearted people to help.
