Volodymyr's daily struggle with type 1 diabetes is an invisible marathon that lasts from morning to night. Every morning, he wakes up with the first rays of the sun: not just to go to school, but to check his blood glucose level and start his day right. Before each meal, he injects insulin using an insulin pen. At school, he always carries candy with him in case of hypoglycemia. But it's not all sweetness and light: the boy is often forced to give up his favorite treats because they can cause his blood sugar levels to rise to critically high levels.
His struggle is to constantly monitor his condition. Even when he is tired, busy, or dealing with important personal matters. Even when he just wants to live like everyone else. Volodia plays soccer, which is quite physically demanding, so before training, he always has to calculate the necessary dose of medication, as well as how much and what else to eat.
But despite everything, every day is a victory for him: over weakness, over fear, over illness, for the right to live a full and normal life. Support Volodymyr in his achievements! Help him buy sensors!
